Frequently Asked Questions
🔧 GENERAL SERVICES
Q: What types of services do you provide?
Mission Ready Home Services specializes in small home repairs, replacements, and installations that often fall below the scope of larger contractors. Common services include toilet and faucet repairs and replacements, light fixtures and ceiling fans, switches and outlets, TV mounting, smart home and security camera installation, doors and hardware, drywall repairs, appliance installation, and other interior home repairs. We also work with property managers and Realtors on maintenance, turnovers, inspection repairs, and closing punch lists.
Q: Do you offer emergency or same-day services?
We are not a 24/7 emergency service provider, but same-day and priority scheduling may be available depending on our schedule and the nature of the repair. Contact us and we'll let you know the earliest availability.
💡 PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL & INSTALLATION
Q: What plumbing repairs do you handle?
We handle many common residential plumbing repairs and replacements, including toilets, faucets, shutoff valves, garbage disposals, dishwasher connections, washer hookups, and other minor plumbing repairs. Larger, specialty, or licensed plumbing work may be referred to a plumber when appropriate.
Q: Do you install ceiling fans or light fixtures?
Yes. We replace existing ceiling fans and light fixtures and can handle many related minor electrical upgrades. More complex wiring or electrical work may require a licensed electrician.
Q: Will you mount my TV and hide the wires?
Yes. We mount TVs and can provide several cable-management options depending on the wall construction, equipment, and desired finished appearance. Mounting hardware can also be provided when needed.
Q: Do you replace switches, outlets, or dimmers?
Yes. We replace existing switches, outlets, dimmers, and similar electrical devices when no major wiring modification is required. If we identify work outside our scope, we'll let you know before proceeding.
PROPERTY MANAGERS, REALTORS & HOMEOWNERS
Q: Do you work with property managers and landlords?
Yes. We provide repair, maintenance, turnover, installation, and troubleshooting services for rental properties. We can coordinate directly with tenants when requested and provide detailed invoices documenting completed work, findings, and recommendations.
Q: Can you complete repairs from a home inspection report?
Yes. Realtors, sellers, and homeowners can send us an inspection report or approved repair list. We'll review the requested items, identify what falls within our scope, and provide an estimate for the work we can complete. Send an email to pennyrile@missionreadyhome.com to get started.
Q: Do you handle closing punch lists?
Yes. Closing and inspection punch lists are one of the ways we help Realtors, sellers, and homeowners resolve multiple smaller repairs efficiently before a transaction closes.
🛠️ HOME SAFETY & ACCESSIBILITY
Q: What home safety and accessibility upgrades do you offer?
We install grab bars, handrails, raised toilet seats, improved lighting, and other practical upgrades that can make a home safer and easier to navigate. We can also help families identify smaller improvements that support aging in place or recovery after an injury.
📶 TECH, SMART HOME, & SECURITY
Q: What’s included in a Wi-Fi setup or optimization service?
We assess your current setup, test signal strength across your home, and reposition or recommend upgrades to your router or mesh network. We’ll help you get the most out of your existing internet service.
Q: Can you install Ring, Nest, or other smart home devices?
Yes. We install many customer-provided smart home devices, including video doorbells, smart thermostats, security cameras, smart locks, and similar equipment. When applicable, we'll also help connect and verify the device before completing the installation.
Q: Do you install security cameras?
Yes. We install residential security camera systems and can help determine appropriate camera locations and installation requirements. More complex projects may begin with an on-site assessment before final installation pricing is provided.
💲 PRICING & PAYMENT
Q: How much do your services cost?
We use straightforward, upfront pricing whenever possible so you know the expected cost before work begins. Many common repairs and installations have established service pricing, while more complex work may require an estimate.
Q: Is there a minimum service charge?
Yes. Our minimum service visit is $150. This covers the deployment of our technician and service vehicle, travel, scheduling, and the resources required to complete your service. For smaller non-urgent items, combining several tasks into one visit is often the best value.
Q: Do you offer bundled pricing?
Yes. When multiple services can be completed efficiently during the same visit, bundled pricing may be available. Let us know everything you'd like addressed when scheduling so we can provide the best option.
Q: How can I pay?
We accept major credit and debit cards and other available electronic payment methods. Payment is generally due upon completion of service unless other arrangements have been established in advance.

VETERAN-OWNED & TRUST
Q: Is Mission Ready Home Services veteran-owned?
Yes. Mission Ready Home Services is a veteran-owned, family-operated local business. Our approach is built around preparation, communication, accountability, and following through on what we say we'll do.
Q: What does “Mission Ready” mean?
Being Mission Ready means showing up prepared, communicating clearly, protecting your home, and following through until the work is complete. Those principles come directly from our veteran roots and are reflected in how we serve our customers.
Q: Are you insured?
Yes. Mission Ready Home Services carries business insurance appropriate for the work we perform. We also stay within the scope of services we're qualified and authorized to provide and will tell you when a project requires a specialized trade professional.
Q: Do you offer a warranty?
We stand behind our work. Because the services we provide vary considerably, we don't use a one-size-fits-all blanket warranty for every repair or installation. What we do offer is our commitment to make things right when an issue is related to our workmanship.
At Mission Ready Home Services, we believe a handshake still means something and so does our word. We take pride in doing things right and don't consider the job done until you're satisfied.
We work alongside families every day who remind us that hard work, trust, and respect still matter. That's why we show up prepared, communicate clearly, and follow through, because anything less goes against our mission, our values, and our commitment to helping you focus your time where it matters most.
If something doesn't seem right after we've completed a service, contact us. We'll review the concern, determine whether it's related to the work we performed, and address workmanship issues appropriately.
If something isn't right, let us know. We'll make it right.
